Leisure activities

Iserlohn is a diverse city with numerous leisure activities and is sure to impress you too!

Culture and events are very important here.

Whether it's art in the municipal gallery, in the Villa Wessel or in public spaces, whether it's active leisure activities at mini golf or on the halfpipe or a visit to one of our small or nationally known events throughout the year: there's always something going on here!

The Parktheater brings musicals, cabaret, cabaret and plays to the stage live and in color and is sure to inspire you too!

And there's no shortage of sport here either: be active yourself and lace up your hiking boots. Short circular trails, extensive routes such as the "IS", the "Sauerland-Höhenflug", the "Waldroute" or the "Drahthandelsweg" and lots of sporty, idyllic nature fun await you on over 200 kilometers of hiking trails! And not just there, but also on our attractive cycle routes. Get an adrenaline rush with your mountain bike downhill on the Eisenwald trails or test your skills in the dirt bike park. A sporty round on your bike awaits you on the Ruhr-Lenne-Achter, while the whole family can enjoy an idyllic tour on the RuhrtalRadweg or the cycle path in Baartal.

Whether skateboarding or inline skating, you can show off your moves at the leisure facility in Läger or at the skate parks at Seilersee or in Letmathe.

Jump into the cool water in one of the four outdoor and indoor pools or stay afloat and take a walk around the idyllic Seilersee. Speaking of Seilersee: here you can also play mini golf, let off steam in the playground, watch the birds in the aviary, ice skate, jog, ride a balance bike, ... or watch the IEC at one of its home games in the DEL. And if you can't get enough of top-class sport, you should definitely go to an Iserlohn Kangaroos game.

If you are traveling with children, you can look forward to over 100 playgrounds and football pitches in the city area and thus entertaining leisure activities!

Do you want to visit the most beautiful places in Iserlohn and get to know the must-sees?
Then explore the historic Maste-Barendorf factory complex, stroll along the Lennepromenade, relax in the Volksgarten in Letmathe or at Fritz-Kühn-Platz, marvel at the Dechenhöhle cave, enjoy the magnificent view from the Danzturm tower... And, and, and ... the list goes on and on.
