In view of the upcoming European Championships and the Team Base Camp of the Italian national team in Iserlohn, numerous guests from near and far, especially from Italy, are expected. For this reason, the historical city tours will be accompanied by Italian translators throughout the entire European Championship period.
Together with the city guides Monika Körner-Weinert, Annette Münster and Gabriele Groß as well as the translators Ulrich Bogatzki, Claudia Curti and Laura Busch, Iserlohn City Marketing cordially invites all interested parties and tourists to follow in the historical footsteps of Iserlohn and rediscover the city. The tours on June 18, 22, 26 and 28 and July 3 and 10 will take you past the remains of the old town wall to historically significant places in the town center, such as the almost forgotten gates of the town, the market square and Schillerplatz or the old town baths. Spiced up with a few anecdotes from days gone by, participants can look forward to an entertaining journey through time - in German and Italian.
The tours start at 4 p.m. on the station forecourt in front of the tourist information office (Bahnhofsplatz 2) and last around 90 minutes. Participation costs four euros, which is collected on site. Children up to the age of 12 can join free of charge.
The number of participants is limited. Registrations are required and are possible from now on, either by telephone on 02371 217-1820 or by e-mail with a telephone number to stadtinfo@iserlohn.de.
Up to four mobile transceivers for hearing assistance can be provided for city tours. These must be reserved at the time of booking.
